At the same moment that the Belgian government isn't finding the funding and manpower to set up the Belgian internet storm center that was foreseen in the new telecommunication law, it is funding two projects together with the European Commission and other partners to inform children, youngster and other people about the dangers on the internet.
It all seems hip, but it is so hip that the format is hiding the information so much that there is no usable information left. It is the information stupid, not the style.
and on the first site there are a lot of links and so on that even don't work.
It is quite surprising but even in Belgium quite a few people continue to fall for these kinds of stupid scams. Even if it is the oldest trick in the book and people are warned over and over again and again. Curiousity got them finally.
But who are these scam artists ? Some people went along and played the game to be able to put a name or a face on the scams and published them here.
Initial investigations using Deep Packet Investigation (DPI) have startled carriers. One major carrier in Europe recently found that skype usage over its network was far higher than its worst fears, according to DPI equipment supplier Allot communications in Israel. South African carrier MTN and Vodafone's German subsidiary have both notify customers that skype-usage could lead to cancellattion of their services.

You will get listed and as the name of the site is going in the title it is being indexed by Google and if people look for your website, they will see the entry that you have been hacked and will think whatever they think of a hacked website (that sometimes want their personal information or their money online or sell them hostingservices or IT services - but that last thing is a joke, right ?). So, don't get hacked if you are in the .be domain and you won't get into http://be-hacked.skynetblogs.be
Kids live by their mobile. It is their personality, their social life, their gametool, their archive, their whatever they want.
So why not give it a really personal look and feel.
This tool understood this very well.
I am not sure if it will work with European cellphones, but the concept will ring a bell. http://www.myxertones.com/default/
and in the US (where venture capital is explosing in wireless developments) another company getmobio.com is offering a whole bunch of applications and looks for your phones. The breakthrough is that already one provider has opened its network so that their users can use and download these services. Iphone on the other hand will be a closed environment. If at the same time the other mobile carriers can offer a whole supermarket of applications and music and services for an acceptable price, than Iphone may be one pricehike too much. Another important aspect is that the mobile carriers should include in their agreements that these sites should include the most stringent security and privacy norms and services. As ohones will become the next frontier if that is where the money will be.
Someone found it necessary to propose a code of conduct for bloggers and some in this environment skynetblogs will agree and jump to it, but I won't. I agree with this commentary
This is my personal thing. If you don't like it, than this is not my problem. Go on and read something else. If you do, fine. This is my freedomzone. It is not a communityzone and not a newspaper. The only chief-editor, rewriter, corrector and lawyer is me. So he can keep his code for community-blogs in which different people work together. This one is personal. It is me.
